WATCH: Pete Hegseth Brings Out the Perfect Response to Demolish Liz Warren in Hilarious Senate Smackdown
Secretary of State Pete Hegseth delivered a sharp response to Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) after she challenged him about President Trump's choice to deploy Marines against violent anti-ICE demonstrations across America.
Recent violent anti-Trump and anti-ICE riots have affected major cities nationwide. Critics now examine aggressive Democratic language that may have sparked this lawlessness wave. Several Democrats have urged supporters to oppose President Trump. Some people view these statements as violence encouragement.
The Democratic senator attempted to corner Hegseth with this question: "Secretary Hegseth, would you execute the President's order to deploy Marines to Chicago and New York City similar to Los Angeles deployment, despite local governors and mayors opposing it?"
Hegseth responded directly: "Senator, Governor Newsom refused to protect federal law enforcement agents in Los Angeles. President Trump possessed full Defense Department authority, which we supported gladly, to defend our ICE agents during their duties."
He expanded his response: "These agents possess the American right to perform their jobs without mob attacks. We will defend them during this process. We would offer the same protection to others who need it. I understand you heard my questions."
Warren pressed forward with another question to support her political position. She asked: "Would you send troops if the President commanded deployment to Chicago and New York City?"
The secretary of state replied with confidence: "New York City, unlike California and Gavin Newsom, shows willingness to handle the situation through local law enforcement. Consider that my response."
The Massachusetts Democrat persisted with her approach: "Would you send troops to 15 cities if the President requested it?" Hegseth showed growing frustration with the senator's questioning.
He began his answer: "Senator, I reject your hypothetical scenario because..." Warren cut him off abruptly: "That's not my question. You serve as Secretary of Defense. Would you deploy troops to 15 cities if the President ordered it? Would you execute this command?"
The former Fox News anchor maintained his calm demeanor: "Senator, this represents a complete hypothetical situation without any real context. You present this scenario, and I decline to limit myself through hypothetical questioning."
Warren continued her persistent inquiry: "You request one trillion dollars here, and I want to understand your spending plans. My question remains: if Donald Trump orders troop deployment to 15 American cities, will you spend the money and deploy the troops?"
Hegseth shut down her questioning with this statement: "We spend money securing our southern border fortunately. The prior administration failed and permitted 21 million illegal immigrants to enter our nation. Homeland defense represents a genuine, important priority under this administration, and we accomplish this work."
