Donald Trump's Niece Issues Stark Warning About America's Future Under Her Uncle's Reign

Mary Trump has delivered a grim caution about what could await the United States if her uncle achieves his aims.

For years, Mary has been a vocal opponent of her uncle, breaking from the typically united family narrative and even releasing a tell-all book about Donald and the Trump family called Too Much and Never Enough.

The daughter of Donald's older brother Fred Trump Jr, who passed away in 1981, Mary stated after Donald's White House return that we now face "uniquely dangerous times".

According to Newsweek, she suggested Americans would need to "start showing up in different ways from what we might be used to," hinting that her uncle's second presidential term could bring difficulties.

One thing is certain - Donald Trump has quickly implemented major changes. Most would agree Trump never allows for monotony, though whether his leadership brings success or disorder remains unclear until his second term concludes.

The better question might be: when exactly will that conclusion come?

The Constitution limits U.S. presidents to two four-year terms. However, recent rumors suggest Trump might attempt what amounts to a coup by seeking a third presidential term.

Trump himself has begun strongly suggesting he might run again after his current term ends – a worrying and frightening prospect.

Earlier this year, the almost 79-year-old commented that "loopholes" existed that could extend his time in office.

"I'd rather not discuss that now, but as you know, there are some loopholes that have been discussed that are well known," he said.

"But I don't believe in loopholes. I don't believe in using loopholes."

Such a plan would require massive public backing to become feasible (or, worse, a forceful seizure of power creating a dictatorship). Critics already fiercely oppose this idea, including Trump's niece Mary.

A consistent Trump critic, she claimed in a recent Telegraph interview that Americans should be cautious about her uncle's motives as he may want to be president "for life".

Mary, a clinical psychologist, addressed the scenario of Trump pursuing a third term—thereby violating the 22nd Amendment—saying: "That's what Donald certainly has in mind. It's not about whether or not he'll run. It's about whether or not he'll leave. It's more likely that he'll just say, 'I'm president for life and I'm not going anywhere'. And he'll challenge people to get rid of him.

"What enforcement mechanism is there to drag the guy who just lost the election but is in the Oval Office? How do you get rid of him? We don't know, because we've never had this problem. I think he's willing to challenge that."

She added: "America is a deeply broken country and it has been for a long time. Donald is not an anomaly. He is, I think, the logical conclusion to the last 40 years of Republican degradation."
