Liz Warren Caught Funneling Wildfire Relief Donations to ActBlue
Elizabeth Warren encountered significant backlash following her social media post that directed supporters to a disputed ActBlue donation platform for California wildfire relief. Sharp-eyed observers quickly discovered that contrary to her statement claiming "100% of your donation will go directly" to local groups, approximately 4% of each contribution would actually benefit the Democratic super PAC.
ActBlue operates as a Democratic donation platform that has received harsh criticism from Republicans following accusations of fraud, identity theft, and money laundering against the liberal organization.

Warren initiated the dispute when she posted on X on January 11, 2025, requesting donations. She wrote, "To help support the communities around L.A. being devastated by wildfires, can you split a donation between the Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation and United Way of Greater Los Angeles? 100% of your donation will go directly to these organizations:"
Conservative commenters quickly gathered beneath her post to expose her questionable methods. One comment observed, "This woman is soliciting donations off the backs of those suffering in the LA fires. These donations go directly to ActBlue, the Democratic dark money site. Do not donate to any politician, find a reputable site if you must."
Another user expanded on this criticism, stating, "@actblue ACT BLUE is a democrat money laundering scam. Also….using ActBlue for donations for fire victims so they can use the list for future Dem campaigns is diabolical." Supporting the previous criticism, a reply said, "You are sending people to ActBlue – A Dem SuperPAC – you shameless clown."

One comment highlighted perceived Democratic inconsistency, asking, "Where was that energy for North Carolina? They are still living in tents with little to NO HELP! They had to wait 8hrs in line to get propane because they will freeze to death. And you wonder why people dislike you, this is why! It's always the rich paying for the rich."
Frustrated by Elizabeth Warren's actions, one commenter stated, "Um…..why are you manipulating people into donating to a Democrat campaign site, instead of directly to the charities you mentioned? Good Lord….don't you freaking lying parasites ever tire of ripping off hard working Americans, or nah?"
A woman continued the criticism, asking, "Why are you trying to scam people and have them donate to ActBlue, infamous for money laundering and scamming people, instead of telling people to donate directly to the LAFD? You democrats have literally ZERO shame in you, huh?" Another user made a similar observation, saying, "Fundraising off of a disaster for political gain is equal parts despicable and completely on brand for Dems."
Chester Tam, a member of Trump's 2024 campaign team, responded to the questionable message by posting, "'Secured by ActBlue'? Donating through the Warren for Senate campaign site is the last thing you should do if you want to support efforts for the California fires. How much of that money do you think will end up benefiting warren's campaign? Once again, Democrats exploit a disaster for their own gain."
