The 31-year-old graduate of Georgetown University has built her own family and followed an independent life path; her father once stated he was proud of her "to a lesser extent." Recently, Tiffany and her husband celebrated their upcoming baby boy with a shower, but reportedly one significant person in her life chose not to attend: Melania.
Tiffany Trump has kept a lower profile throughout her life compared to her siblings. Based on her father's comments, she likely won't inherit his business empire. This may align with her preferences, as she has lived independently for much of her adult years.
When Tiffany was born, her half-siblings Eric, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka were going through a difficult time. Their parents underwent a very public divorce, leaving Donald Jr., the oldest, feeling angry and confused toward his father.
"Listen, it's tough to be a 12-year-old. You're not quite a man, but you think you are. You think you know everything," Donald Jr. explained. "Being driven into school every day and you see the front page and it's divorce! 'THE BEST SEX I EVER HAD!' And you don't even know what that means."
Donald Trump battled for custody of his three older children. During this period, he married his fourth wife, Marla Maples. Tiffany—sometimes referred to as Donald Trump's "wild-card" daughter—was born on October 13, 1993, in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Named after the famous Fifth Avenue jewelry store in New York City, Tiffany spent her early childhood years in New York, where her father ran his real estate business. She appeared with her step-siblings at major family events.
However, Donald and Marla separated when Tiffany was just 9 years old. In an interview with Access Hollywood, Marla explained their incompatibility.
"Well, he and I, were so different, as you could probably imagine," she said. "I think you always hope in a marriage that you can bring the best out in each other. But after many years, we realized we weren't."
Marla signed a strict prenuptial agreement before marrying Trump. According to Vanity Fair, the contract showed Trump's determination to safeguard his wealth. Sources told the magazine that while Maples wanted $25 million, Trump agreed to pay only $1 million if they divorced within five years.
After the divorce, Maples retreated from public view, taking Tiffany to affluent Calabasas near Los Angeles. As Maples often mentioned, she raised Tiffany as "a single mother," and enrolled her at the elite Viewpoint School.
Where did Tiffany Trump go to school?
Shortly thereafter, Marla and Tiffany socialized with the renowned Kardashian family. While Marla pursued acting, Tiffany explored different interests. As a teenager, she released a single titled "Like a Bird" with artists Sprite and Logic.
"I love music, but right now my priority is just focusing on school and getting into a good college," Tiffany explained during an appearance on Oprah Winfrey's "Where Are They Now?" segment.
Despite tension between her parents, Tiffany maintained positive relationships with her half-siblings. In 2011, her older sister Ivanka helped secure her a summer internship at Vogue magazine and spoke fondly of their bond.
"We would see each other on all of the holidays and talk to each other frequently," Ivanka told People in 2016. "I've been close to Tiffany her whole life, and I really love her."
Following family tradition, Tiffany attended the University of Pennsylvania, her father's alma mater. After graduating in 2016, she became involved not in real estate but in her father's presidential campaign.
Similar to her siblings, Tiffany made several campaign appearances. She delivered a speech on the second evening of the 2016 Republican National Convention.
"Like my father, I never back down from challenges, so here I am, a little new to the convention scene, but very honored and confident in the man America is coming to know," Tiffany stated.
Helped Donald in the 2016 Presidential Election
Following the election, Tiffany toured several prestigious law schools including Harvard, Columbia, and NYU before selecting Washington, the new Trump family base. She completed her education at Georgetown Law School in 2020.
"Great student, great school," Donald posted on Twitter. "Just what I need is a lawyer in the family. Proud of you, Tiff!"
While Eric, Donald Trump Jr., and Ivanka have maintained close personal and professional relationships with their father, Tiffany's connection with Donald has been more complicated.
During a 2004 interview with New York Magazine about his three children from his marriage to Ivana, Trump paused the conversation to make somewhat unusual comments about Tiffany:
Marla Maples confirmed Trump's devotion to his work was accurate.
"There were times when all of us wished we had more of Donald's ear and his focus, especially when we'd have family dinners on Friday," she explained. "'Can you turn off the financial news for a moment, please?' But those kids always knew that he was unique in a way, that he's got to run that company. I've watched that also with Tiffany. A lot of the fathers are here for all her basketball games, but she knows her dad loves her."
Donald Trump said he was proud of Tiffany Trump "to a lesser extent"
Although Tiffany Trump may not have been heavily involved in her father's 2016 presidential campaign, Donald Trump made a notable comment about her on election day, saying he felt proud of Tiffany "to a lesser extent."
"I'm very proud of my children. I mean, I'm just looking at them right now as an example… but I'm very proud 'cause Don and Eric and Ivanka and, you know, to a lesser extent, 'cause she just got out of school, out of college, but, uh, Tiffany, who's also been so terrific. I mean, they work so hard," Donald Trump stated.
Tiffany Trump tried her best to support her father's 2017 Presidential Election campaign. However, reports suggest their relationship deteriorated after he moved into the White House for his first term.
Sources informed People Magazine that the strained father-daughter relationship intensified when Donald took office, with months sometimes passing without communication between them.
"Since the inauguration, Tiffany and her father have sometimes gone months without speaking, and she went a very long time without seeing him," a source close to Tiffany claimed. "The last time she was at a family function with him, it was awkward for her, and she didn't feel totally welcome."
"They always had a strained relationship her whole life, and it got exacerbated by the presidency," the source added. "It's gotten much worse now."
Melania Trump decided not to attend Tiffany Trump's baby shower
When Tiffany was only five years old, her father began a new relationship. Melania Trump—then Knavs—met Donald at a New York City party. While the First Lady reportedly had a cool relationship with Donald's eldest daughter, Ivanka, her connection with Tiffany appeared different.
Tiffany Trump enjoys a happy marriage with Michael Boulos. The pair first encountered each other at Lindsay Lohan's beach club in Mykonos, Greece, several years ago. In November 2022, they celebrated their wedding at the Trump Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Donald Trump escorted his daughter down the aisle and gave her a kiss on the cheek before Tiffany and Michael exchanged their vows.
The couple now awaits their first child, and Tiffany recently held her baby shower. On Instagram, she announced they are expecting a boy.
"Such a special day celebrating our very soon to be son," Tiffany wrote, sharing photos from her baby shower. "1 month to go!"
Tiffany and Ivanka Trump share a strong bond. Her older sister attended the baby shower and posted an image from the celebration on Instagram.
"Tiff, you're going to be the most wonderful mama," Ivanka wrote. "Your baby boy is already so loved—and so lucky to have you!"
Source says there wasn't "any reason" for Melania to attend
As noted earlier, Melania Trump did not attend the baby shower. Despite their seemingly good relationship, why did Melania miss her stepdaughter's celebration for the upcoming baby boy?
A source told People Magazine that the two share a "close relationship." Nevertheless, neither Melania nor Donald Trump appeared at the baby shower. The source claimed there wasn't "any reason" for the First Lady to attend, noting that Melania "has her own schedule, even on weekends." She spent that weekend in New York with her son Barron Trump, who started at Stern Business School at New York University last fall.
