Jay-Z appeared publicly at the Super Bowl with his two daughters, Blue Ivy and Rumi Carter, attracting significant attention online.

The rapper stepped into the spotlight briefly, and it was his youngest daughter who drew the most focus.

On February 9, 2025, Jay-Z was seen on the field at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans with his children before the game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Philadelphia Eagles.

In a widely circulated image, Rumi was seen waving happily to the crowd with both hands, showing her enthusiasm and engagement with the event.

Blue was standing nearby, looking calm, while Jay-Z maintained a relaxed posture. This gave a rare view of Rumi, who is usually kept out of the public eye.

In the photos, Rumi wore a casual but fashionable outfit: an oversized black and white varsity-style jacket paired with loose jeans and white sneakers.

She accessorized with a small white crossbody bag that had a black emblem. Her braided hair was neatly styled, and she smiled brightly as she enjoyed the moment.

Blue, now a teenager, chose a simpler look with a sleek black outfit and matching sunglasses. Like her sister, she wore baggy jeans and white shoes. She confidently stood next to her dad, who wore an all-black T-shirt, pants, a beanie, and sunglasses.

As videos and photos of the family outing circulated online, many social media users commented on Rumi’s strong resemblance to Jay-Z.

On Instagram, one user commented, "Rumi really is his twin." Another added, "His genes are so strong, these kids are his twins." Many others complimented the sisters, saying, "Beautiful girls."

Fans also noted how much Rumi has grown. One said, "Rumi has gotten so big," while another remarked, "Wow, RUMI really looks like her dad."

Someone joked, "Rumi's face completely matches his! The kids can’t be denied." On X (formerly Twitter), a user observed, "Rumi no longer looks like Beyoncé—she's all Jay now."

Rumi was born on June 13, 2017, at 5:13 a.m. at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. Official records show she arrived first, with her twin brother Sir Carter following soon after. Both were born by cesarean section to Dr. Paul Crane.

Months before their birth, Beyoncé shared a famous pregnancy photo shoot on Instagram on February 1, 2017.

In her caption, she expressed gratitude, saying, "We’re happy to share our love. We’ve been blessed twice over. Our family is growing by two, and we thank you for your wishes."

Despite her fame, Beyoncé and Jay-Z intentionally protect their children’s privacy. In a 2021 interview, Beyoncé explained, "I have fought to safeguard my peace and privacy because my life depends on it."

This approach has kept Rumi and Sir mostly out of the public eye, with only occasional glimpses shared by their parents.

However, Rumi has started showing interest in the arts. In August 2024, Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles, spoke about her grandchildren’s personalities.

Tina described Rumi as a "natural little star," adding that Sir is more drawn to books and gadgets. She noted that the twins have a wide range of interests, from arts to sciences.

Tina suggested Rumi might follow her older sister Blue, who has performed as a backup dancer for Beyoncé. She said, "Rumi is a creative at heart and won't be stopped. They are all artists. It’s in their nature."

Recently, Rumi’s name was mentioned during Beyoncé’s acceptance speech at the 67th Grammy Awards, where she dedicated her win to her daughter.

After winning "Album of the Year," Beyoncé told ET's Kevin Frazier, "Rumi was watching. I forgot to thank her, so I want to thank her now—thank you, Rumi."

Her Grammy victory was a proud moment for her family and also sparked discussions about the Recording Academy, especially given past criticism from Jay-Z.

Beyoncé’s win for Best Country Album for "Cowboy Carter" was announced by Taylor Swift, causing a large ovation. Beyoncé looked surprised and stayed seated, her eyes widening in shock as her name was called.

Her husband Jay-Z and daughter Blue Ivy encouraged her, and she then made her way to receive the award, embracing them during her speech.

She told the audience how unexpected her win was and thanked the country artists who contributed, noting the hard work involved.

Beyoncé also encouraged other artists to challenge genre limits and keep pushing for their dreams. She credited her family, team, and fans for supporting her.

Her multiple nominations at the Grammys reflected her broad influence, with ten nods, including major categories like Record and Album of the Year.

Her win for the country album sparked some criticism online. Some viewers speculated it was unfair or suggested she was not a true country artist. Others expressed disappointment, feeling her style didn't fit the genre, and preferred different artists like Lainey Wilson.

Some comments implied her effort was not genuine in country music and that her aesthetic was just a mimicry rather than authentic.

This controversy echoed Jay-Z’s speech from the previous year's Grammys, where he criticized the industry’s failure to award Beyoncé Album of the Year, despite her many wins.

He pointed out that Beyoncé, holding the record for most Grammys, has never received that specific award, highlighting a perceived injustice.

Jay-Z also suggested that some artists might feel snubbed or out of place during awards, which he admitted was a blunt truth brought on by nerves.

Many supporters celebrated Beyoncé’s win and announced her upcoming tour. She shared a video on Instagram with a "COWBOY CARTER TOUR" sign flickering against a desert background.

She followed up with another post, now sporting bleached eyebrows, blonde braids, and bold red lipstick, matching visual themes from her album. The caption confirmed the tour's launch.

Despite the mixed reactions, Beyoncé’s Grammy success and tour plans marked a key moment in her career.
